Type of information that we can extract from redo dumps

 if we have a redo dump can we extract the following information from trace file:
Question 1 - How do we tell from the redo log dump if the index split causing a performance issue happens on a root node, branch node, or leaf node?

Question 2 - What would cause a split operation to roll back?
