Address Book MBF returns error but still writes records

When adding a new record to the AddressBook using AddressBookMBF (N0100041), if it detects that there's a duplicate it issues a Error (Red stop). The program monitors if the MBF returns "EdiSuccessfullyProcessed" value not equal to Zero; if it does the program does not execute other steps.
The issue is that even though the MBF issues a hard Error it still writes the F0101, F0115, F0116 records. Is there a way to prevent the AB MBF from doing this?
