hi everyone

I am trying to install Oracle database 11.2.0.3 with grid infrastructure on a Linux box.

everything went fine until i went to créate my asmdisks.

i have asigned 4 LUN of 200Gb each to this box.

but Linux recognizes 8 LUNS but when i go to format them in order to créate an asm disk i can only format 4 of them and the other ones are not readable.

the worst part is that when i reboot my system it takes quite a long time to reboot because all the time i am getting the error "buffer I/O error on device xx, logical block xx".

Howdy, Stranger!
