BI Publisher Error when data contains using <,> symbols

 Hi Guys,

I am running a report in BI publisher using the SQL query method (not the IO method). The source system is a Siebel application. I showing a free text field from Siebel in the report. The report uses an rtf template and is using only pdf output. i am facing an issue when user enter's data in the filed which is having the '<' symbol. The BI publisher engine is not recognizing it as a normal string character. I need to show whatever the user enters in the report even if it contains <,>,/>. For example the below text is entered in the siebel application
