Is there a way to automatically create an inventory list of fixed assets?

For audit purposes, we would like to generate a random list of our fixed assets to send out to the locations to verify the quantity. The documentation shows where we can take the list we receive back from the locations and load it to Fixed Assets via web ADI, but is there a way to automatically generate the list to send out and if so, how?  Will the system keep track of the assets sent and not select them again until all assets have been selected?
