Hi

I have a question about RMAN and I believe that you can help me.


      We implemented  RMAN backup procedures in our database? 

We made the setting in  NOCATALOG mode,in other words,  on writing information in the controlfiles. But I was surprised that we only have 1 month of backup and I  thought that we had 6 months.

     How can we extend the amount of active backups? Is it true that we have to change a startup parameter "CONTROL_FILE_RECORD_KEEP_TIME" to a higher number only? Or do we need to change something else?

   We realize 2 backup incremental level 0 on Sundays and Wednasdays  and backup incremental level 1 in other days of the week.  The parameter CONTROL_FILE_RECORD_KEEP_TIME is set as 7 (Default).
