Mobile Supply Chain Applications module - can RF devices be used off-line and not wireless?

Hi,

For Mobile Supply Chain Applications we have certain areas where wireless network are not technically possible (due to interfernce with other sensitive equipment).  Is it possible to use Mobile Supply chain applications in 'off-line' mode where the portable devices can be docked in order to download / upload information instead of using 'on-line' realtime wireless communication?

Has anyone doen this or do you have any other suggestions for software out there that will allow this to be done and integrated with Oracle Applications.  If not possible then we are looking at needing to custom write scanner software to support this which is not desirable.
