Checkbox locked?

Hello,

I have a checkbox when selected fires off a workflow.  When the WF is complete the checkbox usually goes back to being unchecked.   But all of a sudden I have a couple that will not uncheck and I do not even have the ability to perform this action and I am the admin.  This is also in the Staging environment.  I have even tried to deactivate the WF the checkbox references but to no avail.
