Install Base Parameters

Hi,

Could somebody explain in detail what are the implications on checking/unchecking the Install Parameters when upgrading from 11i to R12?

I've been reading in Metalink notes about the Install Base parameters but is not clear as what the implications are when you check or leave uncheck those fields.

SFM Bypass

Freeze

Allocate at WIP

Override Ownership

Force Cascade Ownership to Components

Category Set Name

Create Unique Asset For

Do you lose Functionality if you do the pre-upgrade steps with specific parameters checked/unchecked?
