'Last Service information' form -Last Service Reading

Hi,

 

Regarding the Last service information form -Last service reading field.

 

1. Please let me know the functionality/Purpose of  Last service reading field is available as a Editable field.

2. If we Enter reading manually->Save ->Close the form & Come back ->Go to Last service reading field->Help-> Record history is not updated.

 

Please let me know if it is a bug or patch is available.

 

Kindly clarify me
