Vertex Q Series version 4.1

We are currently using Vertex Q Series 4.0.6.0 with EBS 12.1.3 running on Linux RedHat 5ES, X86.  Per Vertex's web site, version 4.1 has been available for some time now.  Can we upgrade to Vertex Q Series 4.1 and if so are there any Oracle notes or patches that I need to be concerned with?
