BIP Bursting - Maximum Limit

Hi all,
Could anyone let us know what is the maximum limit of recipients in a BI Publisher bursting report. Also, is there a parameter / config change where this limit is set ?

We recently faced the Production Server down and are suspecting on the BI Publisher bursting report which was running for a long time and finally error. Let us know out thoughts which will be helpful to us a lot.
