Inventory Transaction and lot dates

Hi

Is there a difference in the way Inventory Transactions behave between 8.0/Xe and JDE 9.1. In 8.0/ XE we were able to do inventory transfers on expired lots but in JDE 9.1 we are not able to do any inventory transactions for expired lots.
