When has ZFS saved your bacon (or at least some inconvenience)

I've been using ZFS on my workstation and notebook for quite some time now. I also recognise that there have been a lot of other folks who have been using it on workstations, notebooks and servers as well.
There are also folks in this community who are new to ZFS.

It occurs to me that there are times that ZFS has either "saved my bacon" or at least saved me from a lot of inconvenience, and that a lot of you out there may have similar stories that could be of value to the community.

Let me kick it off with a simple one of mine.
