Q: EAL and EPM what combination is supported?

A:
EAL currently has 2 separate versions:
11.1.2.2.x - supports just EPM 11.1.2.2
11.1.1.1.4.x - supports just EPM 11.1.2.1 and older
 
The EAL that you have in OBI 11.1.1.7 (11.1.2.2.0 - V31873-01, V31874-01) or EPM 11.1.2.2.0 (11.1.2.2.001 - V33328-01, V31874-01) which you can download from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud, supports EPM 11.1.2.2, but doesn't support HFM application with <> 4 Custom dimensions.

If you consider using EAL with EPM 11.1.2.2 please download EAL 11.1.2.2.300 (Patch 14767529)
 This patch has list of serious bug fixes and support HFM Applications with <> 4 Custom dimensions.
