Default Gateway Failure

Hello,

In 11gR2 RAC, what is the expected behaviour in the event of the default gateway going down? Since both nodes would be affected and neither can reach the default gateway, I guess, the listener, SCAN listener, VIP and SCAN VIP will be down on both nodes. However, whenever the gateway is available again, say after 2 hours, shouldn't the VIPs and the SCAN VIPs be up again on both nodes and hence shouldn't the listeners be up again?
