Item Transaction Defaults

We are on 11.5.10.2

I am looking for information on the item transaction defaults and functionality. All of our items are setup with pre-specified locator control.

We have some items setup to ship from 2 different subinventories in one organization. We have move order and shipping defaults for both locator defaults, however only one on the subinventory side. When we try to ship out of the subinventory without the subinventory default, it switches to the other subinventory, even though it is set that way on the order and the pick release rule. The form only allows for one shipping default on the subinventory side, but does allow multiple on the locator side.
