WRITE vs READ activity in database

Hi,

we have a couple of 10g databases and we are trying to figure out if they are predominantly OLTP with 70-80% DMLS and 20 - 30% READ activity. What would be the easiest way to determine this? Would it be OK to use AWR with snapshot covering typical database usage (e.g. between 9 AM to 5 PM on Mondays) and then look for some specifics counters? If yes, could you please elaborate as to what exactly to look for
