'Invalid Username/Password' error returned when attempting to connect to RMAN target DB as SYS

I am having a problem when trying to connect to my target database as SYS thru RMAN.  I can connect with no problem thru SQL*Plus, but not thru RMAN.  I have researched onlilne and checked the v$pwfile_users, as well as values of REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE and REMOTE_OS_AUTHENT. 

Here are the values:
