Number of Backup clients supported by an M5000 server?

We need a rough estimate of the number of clients that can be backed up on one of the M5000 servers.  Right now, we have to align the clients based on network segment so most of our media servers are underutilized.  In a consolidation we are hoping to get away from the network restrictions so we need to put together a rough estimate of the number of clients that can be processed through one M5000 server.  We are running NetBackUp on all clients.

CLAIRFICATION:

I am sorry for the confusion, this was my first post.  We know that a data stream from a tape unit averages about 450 KPS.  What we nned to figure out is how many concurrent streams an M5000 can handle.  So I guess we are looking for the internal capabilities of the M5000.  I should be able to do the math there.

Howdy, Stranger!
