How to setup AP workflow in R12 ?

Hi Gurus,
We are live on R12 for few years and now there has been a requirement to initiate AP workflow.
I have never done this kind of setup and would appreciate any help with setup.

Can anyone please share the document or point to a document which would help me to setup AP workflow in R12 (12.0.6) ?
