Oracle VM Storage Migration
Hi ,
We have a data center migration project coming on and need to plan migration of my VMs on Oracle VM Server 3.0.3.
Basically I want to know if it is possible to migrate the VM images from our SAN to another SAN storage while the system is up and running, if not do offline migration as fast as possible.
The new SAN will be at a remote location where we will have LAN access though.
My VMware colleagues telling me that it is possible with the vmware using data storage live migration option.
What is the correct way of moving the machine and the associated disks (containing operating system image files and database ASM disks) to another storage, optionally while the system is running. Some of my disks are found in the repository and some of them are assigned as physical disks.
