How to carry out PUSH Supply Type transactions in Oracle R12 ?

Hello

I need to understand how to carry out the PUSH Supply Type transactions in Oracle R12 Instance ? Is there any recommended process from Oracle suggesting how and when to perform PUSH supply transactions. Also i need to understand what is going to be the impact when Push transactions are done - When Job is in released status and When job is in completed status ?

I am asking this question because we have seen that when push type parts are transacted when the job is complete, material value is going into Job variance and not getting loaded on the part/ job.
