Automatic Refresh after Update

Hi,
I have 2 scenarios.

Scenario.1:
In a view, we have a parent Applet and child applet. I have invoked a workflow when a button (present in child applet) is clicked. In the workflow, I am doing some functions and at the end updating 2 fields in the  BC corresponding to the parent applet. Now the issue is, right after the button click I am not able to see the updated values for the fields in the parent applet.
Can some one tell me a way to refresh the parent applet at the end of the workflow?? without using SIS OM PMT Service.RefreshBusComp.
