System Statistics Job

 Hi All,
What is the impact of System Statistics Job being in Disabled Mode ? Any performance Issues ? We are having our own custom Statistics Jobs based on the table access. Is it necessary to always Enable  System Statistics Job, even if we have our own scripts ?
