11i Report Manager

Does anybody have a white paper about Report Manager in 11i?. We are planning to implement it and I would like to share it to our stakeholder. I don't want a whole user guide and hopefully just a few pages explaning about it.

Am I correct that I can create a a report where the data are only data coming from General Ledger such as  trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, budget etc...
