JDE E1 - Manufacturing - Parent work order and work order child

I'm new presales in France and I'm starting to use the different community exchanges, so please advise if I'm not sending to the good community site.

I've got a RFI where the customer is producing money. They are using an old version of IFS ERP solution, and in this solution they are managing a specific production mode: they are using a main work order representing the total production 1 000 000 units, and this work order is generating 10 work orders child that represent 100 000 units each.

In a first step, I will use the manufacturing number that should answer partially to this production model, but I would like to have some feedback from existing solutions all around the world.
