cash management matching criteria?

 Hi,
What is the matching criteria of bank transfer entries?If it is transfer number,then it is not picking transfer number.

Steps
i create bank to bank transfer,it gives transfer number 61
The same transfer number i entered in the bank statement 61,but it dosent pick.I find this transaction from the available transaction window by the amount,where transaction number is blank against this entry.Why?
