Query on using 'resync' option for oracle apps and database cloning.
Hi All,
My customer have a clone DEV of our PROD R12 apps and 11gR2 database.
They want to refresh DEV once in every 3 months with latest copy of PROD.
Their Linux Admin wants us to use rsync instead of deleting the whole DEV and re-copy from PROD.
Can that be done?
Will a database opened as DEV 3 months earlier be used to rsync data from PROD and re-opened here?
Also the same way, if the applications file system has latest version of files because of patches in it? Will rsync re-copy the data again to the older version of the file which is existing in PROD?
