Use Active RMAN CLone From Standby or RMAN Backup of Standby Database to Create Second Standby

I have physical standby (and a daily RMAN backup of that standby ) that I would like to use to create a second standby. Can I copy the standby controlfile from the 1st standby host to the 2nd standby host and then use RMAN to create a the second standby using option 1 or 2(1) active standby clone from 1st standby.
(2) use RMAN backup of 1st standby and restore to second standby.

Any special considerations or steps for RMAN, etc ?
