11g Forms & Reports External Authentication

Hi There,

We are performing the grand leap from forms and reports 6i to 11g, Windows platform, 11g database.

In 6i we use external authentication for our users, and froms and reports have no problems.  Our reports are all called from forms, no problems.

In 11g forms by themselves seem to have no problem with external authentication.  And calling reports from forms without external authentication (entering a username and password) is no problem.

But we cannot call reports from forms with exteranlal authentication (i.e., "/@database" connection).  The form gives error: "FRM-41214 Unable to run report." and reports gives error: "The report terminated with error: REP-501: The specified database cannot be connected.."
