AR invoice showing the GL date and invoice date as past date

Dear Gurus,

Need help on one strange issue.We found a issue where the sales order closed on 02-APR-2013 but the invoice  was created with Invoice date of 29-Mar-2013 and a GL Date of 29-Mar-2013.
We have verified the details but unable to fin out the reason of this issue.Could some body help us to understand which scenario the invoice will create with past GL date and invoice creation date.

Note::  The SO closed on 02-APr-2013 but the invoice date and GL date is shoing as 29-MAR-2013 on invoice level.
