Minor Asset Category Truncating

We recently implemented Oracle R12.  When processing mass addition records, we are getting a message stating that the minor category is too large and is being truncated to two characters.  During setup, we set the display size to 25 characters which is large enough to accomodate all categories we use.  We did not encounter this problem during UAT testing and the setup is identical.  The separator is set to Period which is the same as we used during testing.

Any suggestions?
