Controlfile size is more than 1 GB

Hi Team,
We are using Oracle RAC database 11.2.0.3 and filesystem is ASM.
Database controlfile size is 1.1 GB and we are getting some alerts in lmhb trace file like "waiting for event 'control file sequential read' for 11 secs with wait_id 3693322".

Can you please let me know how should I shrink size of the controlfile?

control_file_record_keep_time is 7 days,earlier it was 360 , few weeks back I changed it to 7.
