Trying to Deinstall EM

Basically I try and run this command:emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop

This causes  excessive IO and excessive CPU which ultimately causes the application to stop running. This is Oracle release 10.2.0.3 on AIX 5.3.
Here's the output from the log:
