Update field from Task

Hello,

Is it possible to update a field after a task is complete?

I have a task that is associated to an opportunity.

After the task is completed, can I update a field on the opportunity record that is associated with the task?

I thought I could perform a wait after the task and once the task was completed I could update the field.

But the available fields are for activities since the task was created as an activity record type.
