Hi,
I have installed Oracle 10gR2(10.2.0.4.0) on RHEL Linux and created a Database using DBCA.
I have also installed Oracle 11gR2(11.2.0.3.0) on the same server using different Linux User.
When I login with the owner of the Oracle 11gR2 s/w owner and run DBUA to upgrade the Oracle 10gR2 Database I get this message:
DBUA pops up a error window with below message has the header "Initialization Parameter Filename"
The Upgrade Assistant failed in bringing up the database <SID>. Oracle Home obtained from file /etc/oratab was used to connect to the database. Either the database is not running from Oracle Home or the correct initialization parameter file (pfile) was not found. To start the database Oracle needs the pfile. Provide the full path name of the init file for the database <SID>;
