Label shell script

Hi SMEs
We need to modify the material label in the label source directory by the way preprocessing before picking the 3rd party software. Do i need to create new material label xml file or modify the existing one before picking it by 3rd party printing software?

In case modifying the same file, how can we manage the time between oracle and 3rd party software?

Also do we need separate scheduled program for preprocessing? how shell script will work..

Some on help me on this issues?
