Deployment of Data Dictionary Item - update existing DD Item

When deploying a Data Dictionary Item to a Production where the DD ITem exists and the deployment is appying an update to an existing Glossary DD Item (Message), it appears from our testing that the update doesn't always occur until you delete the spec files dddict.ddb, dddict.xdb, ddtext.ddb, ddtext.xdb, glbtbl.ddb and glbtbl.xdb.

Our CNC staff says that in order to have E1 re-ecreate these files correctly, you must shut down a Service, delete, the files and then re-start the Service. Shutting down the Service makes the environment inaccessable to User Login so therefore the environment must be closed.
