How to Differentiate the Rawmaterial and finished goods accounts in average costing

Dear Folks,

now we are implementing R12 and my customer wants to give a separate account for finished goods and rawmaterial, but in average costing system allows us to give one material account .

so, can you please tell me ,how to do acheive this requirement.
