OEM Cloud Control 12c (12.1.0.2.0) - Agent install fails

I'm deploying my first agent to a Linux host -- i.e. Oracle Linux Server release 5.9 -- yet got this remote prerequisite check failure message:

Do you have the privileges to run as root using the Privilege Delegation tool?

I do have sudo privileges to run root.sh and allroot.sh located as follows on the OMS host:

  • /u01/app/oracle/Middleware/oms/root.sh
  • /u01/app/oracle/Middleware/oms/allroot.sh
  • /u01/app/oracle/agent/core/12.1.0.2.0/root.sh

My assumption was sudo privileges are granted on the host where the OMS got installed.  I'm wondering whether they're needed in remote agent directories too; particularly, /u01/app/oracle/agent/core/12.1.0.2.0/root.sh.

Howdy, Stranger!
