Problems entering Assembly SN on component parts when performing a work order-less completion

Hello,

We are trying to implement component serialization for our organization.  I have reviewed the genealogy that exists when an item is built thorugh a discrete job; however, when I use the work order-less completion the form is not accepting anything in the "Assembly Serial Number" field after entering the serial # for a component.  I am getting the following error message:

FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item mtl_trx_line.operation_seq_num

FRM-40502: ORACLE error: unable to read list of values.

I would expect to enter the serial # that was assigned on the first screen for the top level make component, but this is not a choice.
