Cost roll up for ATO items

Hello all

Need help in understand how the roll up work in an ATO item

Once the configuration is selected using the configurator, and ATO item (star) is generated, does the price of all the components are rolled up to the ATO model?

If yes, what all configuration has to be done to achieve this functionality.

Any inputs in this will be really helpful
