Material Allocation Requirement

Dear all, 


We have a requirement, If 10 inventory items are required for a a work order. At the time of release if the onhand is only 5 quantity, Will system generate a move order for 5 quantity and once the items are received in to inventory, will the system allocate the remaining 5 for completing the work order
