RDBPROD: DECdtm issues

I can create an alias to each of two databases individually, but after attaching to two databases from one standalone machine to one of our clustered machines, I get a DECdtm error as follows when an SQL retreival is attempted on either database:

%RDB-F-SYS_REQUEST_CAL, error from system services request - called from 100001
-RDB-E-DECDTMERR, DECdtm system service call error
-SYSTEM-F-REJECT, connect to network object rejected


All are running the TP_SERVER process, but I found the production machine(s) are missing the log file SYS$JOURNAL:SYSTEM$<node_name>.LM$JOURNAL

I would like to know if there are any other possible issues to test/correct and what I may need to know to proceed safely regarding Production.
