Persistent Binding and Oracle HBA Drivers

One topic that often comes up with customers who are new to the Sun/Oracle Fiber Channel driver stack is the issue of persistent binding.  Customers who are used to working with native HBA drivers (qla for Qlogic HBA's or lpfc for Emulex HBA's) are familiar with configuring the persistent binding settings which often require manual modification of the sd.conf file.  This issue is most prevalent when customers using 3rd party HBA's change from the native driver to the Sun/Oracle FC driver (sometimes referred to as 'Leadville'; qlc for Qlogic HBA's, emlxs for Emulex.  Note that Sun/Oracle HBA's can only use
