Higher CPU load on Linux x86 64 server after grid/cluster upgrade from 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.3

Hi,

I have recently finished an upgrade on a 2 node test Linux x86 64 server of the RAC grid/cluster from 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.3

It all seems to work now

However i have noticed through TOP the load averge has increased from .1 - .2 before to 1.5 - 2 on the idle node

I have shutdown the cluster on 1 node to prove the load averge is 0.0 with the grid/cluster not running

I was wondering if the new 11.2.0.3 grid/cluster should be giving this much extra resource/load as we plan to go live in about a month

The linux RHEL o/s version went from 5.1 to 5.9 as this was a requirement
