Example for Linked Items

 Hello product configuration gurus,

I am searching for an example how to create Linked Item for product, if I want to use this Linked item to retrieve Attribute Value from my product. For example, I need to get Previous Attribute Value for one certain attribute, e.g., attribute with name 'ABC' on product 'Product1'.

Can I do this using Linked Items? I need to create configuration rules based on this specific attribute's Previous Value (this is for ABO modify order scenarios). 

For using other business components it is easy (I can read Order Type from Order business component or other fields, as there is only one order header), but how to get value from correct attribute? I could use bc 'Order Item XA', but how to specify that I only need one specific attribute with name 'ABC', not other attribute values?
