Interested in the enhanced email updates from service requests?
You may have noticed recently that update emails generated from your service requests include the following new paragraph:
My Oracle Support introduced a new feature last month that lets you opt in to receive the content of an update to your SR instead of just telling you that an update exists. Turning on this function is a two-step process that is described in the following document:
You can now opt in to receive the specific
SR update details via email instead of accessing My Oracle Support to
view them. First, verify that your Customer User Administrator has
approved the “Service Request Details in Email” feature for your Support
Identifier found on the MY ACCOUNT page. Then click the TURN ON
“SERVICE REQUEST UPDATES BY EMAIL” button. When creating a Service
Request, be sure to choose EMAIL as the contact method in the
Severity/Contact section.
