Oracle DB Replication - Different file systems

Hello DBA Guru's,

I'm quit the Oracle DB newbie so forgive my incorrect terminology if it pops up here. Basically we have a client that wants us to migrate our Database (huge) onto a new piece of kit. Now the issue is that, due to various bugs and contraints, we need to move it from one file system to another.

It's currently sitting on a VxVM (Veritas Volume Manager) file system and we wish to put it on ZFS. To do a straight copy over would take more than 60 hours to complete and what I'd like to know is if it's possible to do oracle Replication (Active) between two different file systems.

Howdy, Stranger!
